Google plans to cooperate with Taiwan's MediaTek to develop next-generation AI chips

Google is reportedly working with Taiwan's MediaTek to develop its next-generation AI chip, the Tensor Processing Unit (TPU), which is expected to be produced next year. Although Google has not severed its relationship with long-time chip design company Broadcom, MediaTek's close relationship with TSMC and lower chip prices make it a new choice for Google.
