Russia plans to start large-scale production of lithium materials by 2030

Russia plans to produce at least 60,000 tonnes of lithium carbonate by 2030 to reduce its reliance on imported materials and boost output of high-capacity electric vehicle batteries, the country’s Natural Resources Ministry said on March 17.
