CATL acquires stake in Shenzhen unicorn Metro Car Rental

CATL, through its subsidiary Ningbo Meishan Bonded Port Area Wending Investment Co., Ltd., has successfully acquired a stake in Shenzhen unicorn Didi Metro Car Rental (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd. In this transaction, Itochu Corporation withdrew from the ranks of shareholders. Didi Metro was established in 2015 and is a company focusing on digital operation services for new energy logistics vehicles. At present, the company has put into operation more than 160,000 new energy logistics vehicles, more than 1,700 service outlets, more than 7,100 corporate customers, and more than 400,000 driver users.
