Tesla's self-driving technology development stagnated

Although Tesla CEO Elon Musk claims that its fully autonomous driving (FSD) technology is developing rapidly, the actual progress of the technology does not seem to be as expected. Tesla's number of miles driven with Autopilot disengagements (human takeovers) has not increased significantly over the past few months. That may be because Tesla has changed its strategy to focus on ride-hailing within its geofenced areas rather than delivering its long-promised self-driving taxi service.
