India to stop import duties on electric vehicle batteries and mobile phones

India will no longer impose import duties on dozens of goods used to make electric vehicle batteries and mobile phones, government officials said, as the country slashes tariffs to help local producers withstand the potential impact of reciprocal U.S. tariffs.
