Intel announces it will start mass production of 3nm chips in Ireland

Intel plans to start mass production of 3nm chips at its Fab34 plant in Ireland later this year. This is the company's second node using EUV lithography technology, which improves performance per watt by 18% compared to Intel 4. The process has been provided to foundry customers in Oregon, USA in 2024, and will be transferred to Leixlip, Ireland for mass production in 2025.
