New energy vehicle production and sales growth in February 2025

According to the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, in February 2025, the production and sales of new energy vehicles performed well, completing 888,000 and 892,000 vehicles, respectively, a year-on-year increase of 91.5% and 87.1%. At the same time, the cumulative production and sales in January-February 2025 also reached 1.903 million and 1.835 million vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 52%. Although the domestic sales of new energy vehicles in February fell by 4.2% month-on-month, it increased by 92.6% year-on-year to 760,000 vehicles. In terms of exports, 131,000 new energy vehicles were exported in February, a month-on-month decrease of 12.6% and a year-on-year increase of 60.5%, while the cumulative export volume from January to February reached 282,000 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 54.5%.
