Volkswagen Group considers divesting MES

It is reported that Volkswagen Group is considering selling MAN Energy Solutions (MES), a diesel engine and turbomachinery manufacturer. MES has about 14,000 employees worldwide, with revenue of 4.3 billion euros and operating profit of 337 million euros in 2024. Although MES has a stable performance in the energy market, it has become a priority option for divestiture due to its low correlation with Volkswagen Group's core automotive business.
