Although Volvo has long recognized the importance of vehicle intelligence and global operating systems, its progress in intelligence seems a bit slow. Although they promised in 2021 to achieve high-level intelligent driving based on Nvidia Orin chips and Luminar lidar, this goal has not yet been fully achieved. At present, Volvo's intelligent driving capabilities are mainly developed by its wholly-owned subsidiary Zenseact, and the EX90 and SPA2 platform models will be equipped with Zenseact's intelligent driving solutions. However, so far, Volvo's main selling models have not obtained this capability.
