STMicroelectronics and Innoscience join forces to develop GaN technology

STMicroelectronics and Innoscience have signed a GaN technology development and manufacturing agreement to create future-oriented power electronics technology for AI data centers, renewable energy generation and storage, and automotive. Innoscience uses STMicroelectronics' European manufacturing capacity, while STMicroelectronics also uses Innoscience's manufacturing capacity in China. With its excellent performance, GaN power devices are rapidly gaining popularity in consumer electronics, data centers, industrial power supplies, and photovoltaic inverters, and are being actively used in the design of next-generation electric vehicle power systems due to their advantages in lightweight.
