Mazda and Rohm collaborate on gallium nitride automotive components

Mazda and ROHM have announced a collaboration to develop automotive components based on gallium nitride technology, aiming to improve the energy efficiency and innovation of vehicles. ROHM will be responsible for developing efficient gallium nitride devices and gate drivers to improve the performance of automotive applications and provide miniaturized and low-power EcoGaN™ solutions. Demonstration devices are expected to be developed by 2025 and commercialized in 2027.
