Renault and Nissan team up to develop entry-level electric city car

Renault Group and Nissan Motor announced on March 31, 2025 that they will jointly develop an entry-level pure electric city car based on the new generation Twingo micro electric vehicle platform. The Nissan version of the Twingo model will be launched in 2026, with Nissan leading the design and Renault responsible for mass production.
