Renault acquires majority stake in Nissan's Indian joint venture

Renault Group recently announced that they will acquire a 51% stake in Renault Nissan Automotive India Private Limited (RNAIPL), a joint venture between Nissan and India. This move will further strengthen Renault's global presence, especially in India, one of the fastest growing markets in the global automotive industry. RNAIPL currently has a production capacity of more than 400,000 vehicles, mainly producing models based on the CMF-A and CMF-A+ platforms, and plans to launch four new models based on the CMF-B platform in the future.
