CATL denies that it produces the batteries involved; BYD only supplies battery cells

After the Xiaomi SU7 electric car accident, CATL quickly issued a statement denying that the battery involved was produced by it. BYD said that its subsidiary Fudi Battery only provided batteries for Xiaomi Auto. BYD emphasized that the overall design of the battery pack is the responsibility of Xiaomi Auto, and it does not participate in the assembly of the battery pack or the manufacturing of the whole vehicle. Xiaomi Auto's official customer service responded that the Xiaomi SU7 standard version is equipped with Fudi blade batteries or CATL batteries. The two batteries are mixed and installed randomly, and car owners cannot choose when purchasing.
