Sion Power and Mühlbauer Group partner to launch large-scale battery production line

Sion Power, a US lithium metal battery company, has successfully launched a new large-scale battery production line in cooperation with the German Mühlbauer Group, which specializes in the production of Licerion® lithium metal batteries. This new type of battery uses lithium metal as the negative electrode, with an energy density of up to 400 Wh/kg, which is twice as high as the traditional graphite and silicon negative electrode solutions, while reducing costs by 35% and shortening the charging time to 8 minutes. The new production line is fully automated, with an annual production capacity of 75 MWh, and can produce large battery cells of more than 50 Ah (56Ah), which meets the standards of the automotive industry.
