Tianjin TEDA plans to launch a constellation of 48 ultra-low-orbit remote sensing satellites

The "Tianjin Ultra-Low Orbit Ultra-High Resolution Constellation Project" (referred to as "Dual Super Constellation") jointly initiated by TEDA Holding and SysBASE has completed key technology verification. The total investment in the first phase of the project is about 2 billion yuan, and it is expected to complete the launch and networking of the first phase of 8 satellites before 2027. The long-term plan is to have a total of 48 satellites, which will be networked one after another after the completion of the first phase of the project to build an ultra-high resolution remote sensing observation system with global coverage capabilities.
