German luxury carmaker Audi has decided to suspend deliveries of new cars to U.S. dealers due to President Trump's announcement of a 25% tariff on all imported cars. Audi announced on April 7 that all imported vehicles arriving at U.S. ports after April 2 will be detained to avoid the cost of the new tariff. Audi has about 37,000 inventory vehicles in the United States that are not affected by the new tariffs, which can meet market demand for about two months.
