Shanghai Wicresoft, a joint venture of Microsoft in China, announced layoffs and will officially cease operations in China from April 8, 2025. The layoffs mainly involve traditional outsourcing businesses such as Office software after-sales service and Windows system technical support. Wicresoft's other customer projects such as finance and automobiles are not affected. The laid-off employees will receive N+1 compensation, and some core positions can apply for transfer to overseas business lines such as Vietnam, Japan, and Hungary.
