The battery production cost of Tesla's Texas factory has surpassed that of external suppliers, making it the lowest-cost producer among Tesla's battery suppliers. This is mainly due to its breakthrough in lithium iron phosphate battery technology. Tesla's battery manufacturers include Panasonic, LG, CATL, and BYD, among which CATL and BYD mainly supply Tesla with square lithium iron phosphate batteries.
