Faced with severe market and financial challenges, as well as the impact of high US tariffs, the Maserati and Alfa Romeo brands under the Stellantis Group may be sold. It is reported that Stellantis may cooperate with Asian automakers, and Chinese buyers may become a potential force in the acquisition of these two Italian brands. In 2024, Maserati's global sales were only 11,300 vehicles, of which 4,819 were sold to the United States, and sales plummeted by more than 50% year-on-year. Alfa Romeo's sales in the US market were only 8,865, a 19% decrease from 2023.
