Chen Long joins Xiaomi to lead the visual language model team

According to media reports, Chen Long, former chief scientist at Wayve, recently joined Xiaomi Group and reports to Ye Hangjun, chairman of Xiaomi's technical committee and head of Xiaomi's autopilot team. At Xiaomi, he will lead the VLA (visual language model) team. Chen Long previously worked at Wayve, a British AI unicorn company that has been committed to developing pure vision end-to-end autonomous driving technology since its establishment in 2017.
