The European Commission recently announced its AI Continental Action Plan, the core of which is the construction of five AI data centers, each of which will be equipped with approximately 100,000 AI chips, which will increase the number of training by four times compared to the existing infrastructure. According to foreign media reports, the EU Investment Fund has pledged 20 billion euros for data center construction and semiconductor procurement, and will invest an additional 10 billion euros in the construction of 13 other smaller AI data centers, which are expected to begin operations in 2026. However, the location of AI data centers is still a problem that needs to be solved, and the German government is looking for suitable locations in the country to set up.
