Indian automobile market reaches new peak, Maruti Suzuki maintains leading position

In March 2025, the Indian automobile market ushered in a new sales peak, with new car wholesales increasing by 4.5% year-on-year to 385,842 units, setting a new monthly sales record. Cumulative sales in the first quarter reached 1,168,071 units, up 2.9% year-on-year, setting a new record. Among them, Maruti Suzuki continued to maintain its leading position, and although its market share decreased, it still remained at 39.1%.
