Lexus plans to build a wholly-owned factory in Shanghai

Lexus (Shanghai) New Energy Co., Ltd. won an industrial land in Jinshan District, Shanghai for 1.353 billion yuan, and is expected to start production in 2027. The company is wholly owned by Toyota and plans to produce Lexus electric vehicles, which will be sold in the Chinese market and exported to Japan and other overseas markets.
