The number of charging infrastructure in China is growing steadily

According to the latest data, as of the end of March 2025, China's cumulative charging infrastructure has reached 13.749 million units, a year-on-year increase of 47.6%. Among them, the number of public charging piles is 3.90 million, including 1.785 million DC charging piles and 2.114 million AC charging piles. The number of charging piles installed on vehicles is 9.849 million. By March 2025, the country had a total of 321,000 new public charging piles, an increase of 75.3% over the same period last year. According to local government plans and policies, it is expected that the increase and growth rate of public charging piles will increase significantly by 2025.
