Overview of China's plug-in hybrid vehicle sales in March 2025

In March 2025, the wholesale sales of plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (including extended-range electric vehicles) in China were about 420,000 units. Among them, the sales of narrow plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (excluding extended-range electric vehicles) were 334,000 units, a year-on-year increase of 38.9% and a month-on-month increase of 17.5%; the sales of extended-range electric vehicles were 86,000 units, a year-on-year increase of 26.0% and a month-on-month increase of 27.3%. Plug-in hybrid electric vehicles have accounted for 37.2% of the total wholesale sales of new energy passenger vehicles in China.
