TSMC to build six factories in Phoenix for $165 billion

TSMC plans to invest $165 billion in Phoenix to build six factories, of which 30% of the most advanced 2nm chip production capacity will be located in Phoenix. This move is a strategic adjustment of TSMC's global production capacity layout, and also its layout to cope with policy uncertainties and the reconstruction of the global semiconductor supply chain.
