Analysis of China's passenger car market sales in the first quarter of 2025

According to the China Passenger Car Association, from January to March 2025, China's passenger car retail sales reached 5.12 million units, a year-on-year increase of 6%. The retail sales of new energy vehicles reached 2.419 million units, a year-on-year increase of 36.4%, and the market penetration rate reached 47.2%, an increase of 10.5 percentage points over the same period last year.
