Toyota makes major adjustments to its R&D structure in China, with local engineers leading product development

Toyota announced that it will fully transfer the leading role of product development in China to the local engineering team, marking that the Japanese automaker has officially broken through the traditional R&D framework. After the GAC Toyota Bozhi 3X electric model was launched in March, the FAW Toyota bZ Crossover and GAC Toyota Bozhi 7, which will be unveiled at the Shanghai Auto Show, were both developed by local engineers.
