Volkswagen raises production target in Wolfsburg

Wolfsburg's production capacity target has been raised from 523,000 vehicles in 2024 to 600,000 vehicles in 2025. Despite the increase in production, Volkswagen is still pushing forward with its massive downsizing plan. According to an agreement with the IG Metall union at the end of 2024, the company will cut about 35,000 jobs in Germany by 2030.
