U.S. auto market sales rise in first quarter

In March this year, the sales of new passenger cars and light trucks in the United States increased by 11% year-on-year to 1.61 million units, far exceeding expectations. In the first quarter of this year, the sales of new passenger cars and light trucks in the United States increased by 4.3% year-on-year. GM's sales in the first quarter of this year increased by 17% year-on-year; among them, the sales of its brand Chevrolet increased by 14% year-on-year; the sales of GMC increased by 18% year-on-year; the sales of Buick increased by 39% year-on-year; and the sales of Cadillac increased by 18% year-on-year.
