Xiaomi Motors establishes R&D center in Munich, Germany

Xiaomi plans to set up a research and development center in Munich, Germany, focusing on electric vehicles. The plan is currently underway. Xiaomi aims to start selling electric vehicles outside of China in 2027 and is strengthening its engineering and design capabilities. Earlier media reports said that Xiaomi has established a small center in Germany with less than 50 employees and is recruiting senior managers, operations, vehicle/chassis engineers and other talents on a large scale locally.
