Chery accelerates European expansion plans

Chery Automobile is actively expanding its business in the European market and plans to build a new automobile manufacturing plant in Germany in cooperation with Volkswagen Group. The plant will mainly be responsible for the production of models of Chery's newly launched global brand Lepas. The Lepas brand was launched on April 25 and is based on the best-selling Tiggo SUV series and aims to enter the global market. The first batch of products for the European market will include two compact SUVs and a mid-size SUV, offering three power options: electric, plug-in hybrid and fuel, and are expected to be launched next year.
