Toyota and Waymo team up to advance self-driving technology

Toyota Motor Corporation and Waymo have reached a preliminary cooperation agreement to accelerate the development and deployment of autonomous driving technology. The two parties will combine their respective strengths to jointly develop a new autonomous vehicle platform. In addition, the two companies will also explore how to use Waymo's autonomous driving technology and Toyota's vehicle manufacturing expertise to enhance the next generation of privately owned vehicles.
