Aurora launches driverless freight service in the U.S.

Aurora, an American autonomous driving company, launched its first commercial driverless Class 8 truck service in Texas on April 28, transporting goods from Dallas to Houston for Uber Freight and Hirschbach customers, with a total of 1,200 miles. The service uses a no-safety mode and relies on the "Aurora Driver" system to achieve high-speed autonomous driving, aiming to alleviate driver shortages and reduce transportation costs by 20%.
