US Clean Energy Council pledges $100 billion to develop domestic energy storage battery industry

The American Clean Power Council (ACP) announced that it will invest $100 billion to develop energy storage batteries manufactured in the United States to achieve the goal of 100% domestic batteries for US energy storage projects. Since 2018, the installed capacity of energy storage in the United States has increased 25 times, and the total capacity is expected to exceed 100GW by 2030. This investment will be used to fund the construction of new battery manufacturing plants and help US energy storage projects purchase batteries manufactured in the United States. It is expected to create 350,000 jobs for the entire battery energy storage industry.
