Chinese lithium battery industry chain companies are rapidly developing the energy storage market in the Middle East. At the beginning of 2025, BYD and CATL successively won 31.5GWh orders. BYD won the Saudi Electricity Company's 2.5GW/12.5GWh battery energy storage system project, and CATL became the preferred supplier of battery energy storage systems for the world's first large-scale "all-weather" photovoltaic energy storage gigabit-level project of Masdar, an international renewable energy company in the United Arab Emirates.
