CATL's Hungarian project is progressing smoothly

CATL's battery production line construction project in Hungary has entered the substantive stage, with planned production capacities of 34GWh and 38GWh for the first and second phases respectively. As of the end of 2024, the company has invested approximately 700 million euros in the project construction. The total investment in the project is approximately 4.9 billion euros, and the remaining funds will be invested in succession to ensure that the construction is completed as planned. CATL said that the establishment of the Hungarian factory will help better respond to the needs of the European market and enhance cooperation with customers.
