Italian car sales in April 2025

In April 2025, the number of passenger car registrations in Italy was 138,950, a slight decrease year-on-year. Although Fiat still topped the list with 12,220 vehicles, its sales fell by 19.6% year-on-year. Volkswagen and Toyota sold 11,143 and 10,598 vehicles respectively, up 8.4% and 6.3% year-on-year. Peugeot ranked fourth with a year-on-year growth of 48.3%. Jeep and BMW also saw significant growth, with Jeep in particular increasing by 30.1% year-on-year. MG ranked 12th in the overall market with sales of 5,488 units, a year-on-year increase of 50.5%. BYD's sales volume reached 1,683 units, a staggering 2852.6% year-on-year increase. Chery achieved rapid breakthroughs through its Omoda and Jaecoo sub-brands, with sales of 939 vehicles in April, a year-on-year increase of 2034.1%.
