In the first quarter of 2025, fuel vehicles accounted for 68.9% (978,000 units) of China's total automobile exports, and the export volume fell slightly by 3.7% year-on-year, the first decline since 2021 (mainly due to the contraction of the Russian market); 441,000 new energy vehicles were exported, a year-on-year surge of 43.9%, showing a double breakthrough in pure electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles: 290,000 pure electric vehicles (+16.7%), accounting for 20.4% of the total exports; 152,000 plug-in hybrid models (+1.6 times), accounting for 10.7%, leading the growth rate of all categories.
