Foxconn to produce Model B custom electric cars for Mitsubishi

Mitsubishi Motors is seeking to expand into new markets amid the dual threats of North American auto tariffs and BYD's rise in Southeast Asia, and will source electric vehicles from Foxconn for sale in Oceania. According to the latest announcement, the electric vehicles will be supplied by Foxconn (also known as Hon Hai Precision Industry) on an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) basis, marking the first time the Taiwanese manufacturer has reached such an agreement with a Japanese automaker.
