Synaptics recently launched the world's first customized IoT Wi-Fi 7 chip SYN4390/SYN4384, which supports 5.8Gbps peak rate and tri-band multi-link operation, with latency as low as 4 milliseconds. This chip integrates Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0 and Zigbee/Thread, which can optimize in-vehicle 8K video, AR-HUD and V2X communications, and reduces power consumption by 40% compared to competitors. According to industry forecasts, by 2026, 35% of smart cars will adopt this solution. Suppliers such as Bosch have begun collaborative evaluation, and the first model equipped with this chip is expected to be available in 2025.
