AEye and LITEON cooperate on mass production of Apollo LiDAR

The first batch of Apollo lidars developed by AEye and LITEON rolled off the production line in Taipei, marking the mass production stage of this product. This sensor has an ultra-long detection capability of 1 km and is designed for high-speed autonomous driving. Its performance far exceeds the mainstream of the industry. LITEON's large-scale manufacturing ensures automotive-grade delivery, and its production capacity has reached tens of thousands of units per year. AEye's CEO said this verifies the feasibility of their light asset model. It is reported that three international automakers are testing this product and it may be installed on vehicles as early as 2025.
