The three largest US automakers are dissatisfied with the low tariffs on imported cars from the UK

AAPC (American Automotive Policy Council), which represents General Motors, Ford and Stellantis, criticized the trade agreement reached between the Trump administration and the UK, believing that it would harm the US auto industry. The industry organization pointed out that this move means that the tariff cost of vehicles imported from the UK to the United States is 10%, which is lower than the 25% tariff on imports from Canada and Mexico, even though half of the latter's parts come from the United States. This move will hurt US auto manufacturers, suppliers and workers.
