South Korean equipment manufacturers plan to stop supplying TC Bonder to Chinese manufacturers

According to people familiar with the matter, South Korean equipment manufacturers recently notified Chinese manufacturers that they will stop supplying TC Bonder. TC Bonder is an important equipment used to bond individual chips to processed wafers. Its demand is increasing due to the launch of high-bandwidth memory (HBM) and DDR5. South Korea's HANMI Semiconductor dominates the global HBM TC Bonder market, supplying 90% of HBM3E 12-level products.
