Nissan has faced serious challenges recently, with sales falling and net profit plummeting by more than 90%. As part of its restructuring plan, Nissan plans to lay off 20,000 employees, about 15% of its total workforce. Former CEO Carlos Ghosn criticized Nissan's leadership for its slow decision-making and the company's current situation as "dying". New CEO Ivan Espinosa is working on the restructuring, but Nissan still faces problems such as lagging in its transition to electric vehicles and losing market share.
