German auto parts manufacturer ZF Friedrichshafen announced a temporary reduction in working hours at its headquarters in Friedrichshafen due to its deteriorating financial situation. Starting May 15, 2025, the weekly working hours of about 2,800 employees will be reduced to 32.5 hours, and it is planned to be further reduced to 31.5 hours from June 1. The move is aimed at saving tens of millions of euros in costs to cope with the current economic pressure.
