In May 2025, CATL's world's first 5GWh all-solid-state battery production line in Hefei, Anhui, was officially put into production, marking the transition of sulfide solid-state battery technology from the laboratory to the industrialization stage. The core technical indicators of the first batch of products on this production line are as follows: Energy density: The energy density of sulfide solid-state batteries reaches 450Wh/kg, which is 60% higher than that of traditional liquid ternary lithium batteries (about 280Wh/kg), and can support passenger cars to achieve a single charge range of 600 kilometers (10 minutes fast charge). Mass production progress: The current production line has a yield rate of 65%, and plans to expand production capacity to 50GWh in 2026. In 2027, it will be the first to support Ideal Auto's flagship model MEGA, achieving a breakthrough in range of 1,080 kilometers.
