BYD's new Brazilian plant to be fully operational by the end of 2026

BYD's new plant in Brazil is expected to be fully operational in December 2026, after being hampered by an investigation into labor violations. The plant will begin assembling vehicles from semi-finished kits by the end of 2025 and will gradually localize production of best-selling models. In 2024, BYD sold 76,713 new vehicles in Brazil, up about 328% year-on-year.
