Xiaomi faces legal action over hole-punch hood incident

A lawyer and SU7 owner in Suzhou formally sued Xiaomi Motors for "false advertising" and demanded the return of the deposit of 20,000 yuan and triple compensation of 126,000 yuan, as well as 10,000 yuan in attorney fees. The owner said that the case has entered the judicial process and the court has not yet announced the progress of the trial. The owner believes that the changes in Xiaomi's announcement confirm that the product is inconsistent with the previous promotion, which constitutes a major misunderstanding, and the owner has the right to cancel the contract. The defendant should also return the deposit twice.
